Leaf Trading Cards is gearing up to release two highly anticipated baseball card sets that promise to delight collectors and sports fans alike. Featuring a plethora of autographs, top MLB prospects, and exclusive inserts, these sets offer a unique and exciting addition to any card collection.
The first set, Leaf Metal, is set to launch this Friday, October 25, in both Hobby and Jumbo Box formats. The Hobby Box boasts seven cards, including four autographs, two base/parallel cards, and one exclusive “mojo auto.” On the other hand, the Jumbo Box contains 14 cards, with eight autographs, four base/parallel cards, a “pulsar auto” exclusive to the Jumbo Box, and a “slabbed auto proof.” Notably, all autographs and base parallel cards in the Leaf Metal set will be numbered to 35 or less.
One of the most sought-after cards in this release is a triple autograph card featuring the top three picks of the 2024 MLB Draft: Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon, and Chase Burns. The set also showcases autographs from promising 2024 draftees like Nick Kurtz, Hagen Smith, and Konnor Griffin. Baseball America’s top-ranked prospect, Roman Anthony, makes an appearance in the set, including a card in the “91 Leaf” insert set, paying homage to a classic Leaf series. Other notable prospects such as Chase Dollander, Dylan Crews, and Coby Mayo, along with potential future stars like Ethan Holliday, add depth to the collection. Leaf Press Pass Premium, set to release on November 8, offers collectors premium boxes containing six base cards and parallels, with five autographs included. One autograph per box will be numbered to 25 or less, adding an element of exclusivity to the set. Featuring a 100-card base set and a 100-card retro base set, each with eight parallels numbered to 35 or less, this series is sure to impress.
Autographs from 2024 draftees such as Bazzana, Condon, Kurtz, Smith, and Burns, as well as future prospects like Ethan Holliday, are highlighted in this collection. Veteran stars like Mookie Betts, Ichiro, and Nolan Ryan also make an appearance, adding a touch of nostalgia for fans of the game. Autographs in the base set are numbered to 199 or fewer, while retro base autographs are limited to 49 or fewer. The set also includes a special “Press Box Signatures” insert featuring iconic names such as John Smoltz, Jim Rome, and Vin Scully.
